Automation In Action |

The Automated Home
Unoccupied Mode
When the automated home is put in the
unoccupied mode (by arming away security),
the thermostats automatically set back to a
more energy efficient level.
The lighting is either turned off or reduced
to save energy and motorized shades are
lowered for maximum energy savings and
privacy. Also, all of the non-essential
devices like audio/visual equipment, which
draw power even when they are not being used
are automatically turned off.
As a result, the automated home draws as
little power as possible which has a huge
effect on energy savings.
The Automated Home
Occupied Mode
When the automated home home is put back
into the occupied mode (by disarming away
security), the thermostats will come back to
a comfortable temperature, and the required
audio/visual equipment, lighting and
motorized shades will set to the individual
users preference for the occupied mode.
While in the occupied mode, the automated
home has the ability to turn off unused
lights automatically, or dim the lighting
that is being used. This saves energy by
reducing the amount of power required and
also helps sustainability by extending the
life of bulbs and reducing the effects on
landfills.
Motorized shades connected to the automated
home can automatically open in the winter
to take advantage of thermal heat gain and
shut them in the summer to help keep the
house cool and reduce the strain on the air
conditioning system. |

Your Automated Home can coordinate all of
the systems in your home to talk to each other.
An automated home control system adjusts the
security, cooling, heating, and lighting
automatically for comfort, convenience, and
safety.
Homeowners recognize that an automated home
control system can pay for itself through energy
savings while increasing the value and enjoyment
of their home.
We offer a variety of interface options,
including Touchscreens, and software that allows
access and control of your home over the
Internet.

When
you add lighting to your automated home you add
the ability to change your light settings by the
time of day, a set schedule, by the triggering
of events (including motion), via phone, Touchscreen, or by a computer connected to the
Internet.
Set warm and comfortable moods for dining,
movies or entertaining; create a soft light
pathway to the bathroom or kitchen at night;
turn all indoor and/or outdoor lights on or off
from a central location; coordinate landscaping
lights for drama and beauty; or schedule indoor
and outdoor lighting for a lived-in look when
away. |

You can keep your home comfortable while managing
your water and energy bill using smart sensors,
including communicating
programmable thermostats.
Additionally, your automated home can turn off
lights, water heaters, sprinklers, and other
electronics when the house either
unoccupied or does not require them.
You may
set your temperatures back automatically when you
are not home to save on your energy bill, and
then have the thermostat reset to a comfortable
level before you get home.

MOTORIZED
SHADING |

We design our homes with windows because we
understand that sunlight adds a comforting,
refreshing quality to any room. However,
achieving the greatest beauty and efficiency in
each room means being able to control the light
that surrounds you.
With motorized shades, your automated home can
quickly and easily control sunlight to prevent
harsh U/V rays from damaging expensive
furnishings. With the touch of a button, or
automatically by light level or schedule, you
can automatically raise and lower shades to
reduce heat buildup or add instant privacy. |
